Ok just got my new to me 95 emerald sport. The light for the part time 4wd doesn't come on when in 4h 4pt or 4l, and it doesn't want to come back out of 4wd either. I have to put it in 4h the back in 2wd and back up for it to unlock. Could it be a switch or bad fluid? If its fluid what works good in the tcase? Was wondering if royal purple synchromax would be a good fdecent caseluid. My lever reads 2wd 4pt 4h and 4l. Can someone help ID case and if there a decent case, dont plan to go hard core wheeling just some camping and maybe a 3in lift and some 30x9.5 wild country mtz tires.

 

sounds like your tcase is a 242. mine is a 231 but it takes mopar +4 auto tranny fluid. course mine has an auto trans. not sure if that matters. is yours auto? i would replace the fluid anyways.
