Default 4 degree shim

so i have roughly a 3inch budget lift on the good ol xj. spacers up front AAL rear. i've read around and am seeing 4 degree shims should work. my question is if these shims are not the right angle what is the worse that could happen? i will be putting them on tomorrow and would like some insight. thanks.

only way to tell is if you take an angle finder and compare the DS angle to your pinion angle
