Default 4.5 lift, 33's do i need bump stop or cut fenders?

Ok so I'm puttin my lift on this week, RC 4.5, C.A.D. brackets, SYE, and Tom woods CV shaft. I am going to run 33x12.5x15 and I was planning on cutting the fenders but the other day someone said something about using bump stops too. Do I really need to bumpstop or would cutting fenders work?

i would put extended bumpstops so you dont over flex the rear or front.

You will need both. Same setup I have (although I'm closer to 4" than 4.5"), and if my fenders weren't trimmed, I couldn't turn even half radius without rubbing.

Figures, I knew I shoulda bought em but didn't. Another question, I was going to run the stock sport rims for awhile due to budget constraint and not really seeing a point to change right now anyway. But is the back spacing going to be enough to run the tires or do you think I would need spacers and/or new wheels?

spacers would help with the wheel situation, you'll probably rub control arms and such at full lock

i've got your exact set up...my fenders are trimmed way down on the inside...i've got a real big bumstop on one side in the back, stock on the other...the only rubbing i get is at completely full flex inside the fenders

Spacers are a little steep for only a temporary solution at least for me. But if you plan to keep them for a while then they are a good idea, i just dont think the stock back spacing will handle those 12.50s very well. Also did you get adjustable control arms or are you going to run stock on the lowers as well as the CAD reccomends the stock length for lowers and uppers with that kit. Btw i got it after about 6 months for my 4.5 world of difference for the ride! (im sure it flexes better too but i dont disconnect my swaybar yet) good choice to go ahead and get em.

Yeah I was going to try to hold out but doesnt look like thats going to happen on the wheels what rim would work best then like backspacing and what not. Also I'm running the arms that the kit came with.

4.0" of backspacing will probably be your best bet. It gets them out and away enough without having your tires sticking out too terribly far. I have 4" of backspacing on mine, with 12.50's, and you can see they stick out there but not ridiculously so....

I'm fond of it too! Course I'm from Texas, and a bit of a cowboy redneck myself....maybe why it just seems right
