Default 4.5" AAL added to a 3" leaf pack ?

I know seems a odd question but..

How well will a 4.5" Rough Country AAL hold up if added to a 3" Rough Country leaf pack?

See I'm looking at upgrading to the 4.5" long arm with the AAL and just adding that to my 3" Rough Country Full Leaf packs.

I wouldn't do it. I realize people add leaves to stock packs with different spring rates, but you can get away with it because the stock leaves are so thin with a low rate to begin with. I wouldn't want to add a super stiff 4.5" leaf to already stiffer 3" leaves. Plus, the ride will be as plush as a go-cart on a washboard.
