Default 4.5 or 3 inch ?

i have a 1994 jeep cherokee and its pretty much stoke with a few upgrades now im looking to put a lift on it. it will be my daily driver but i would like to go off road every now and then. i was wondering what would be better a 4.5 inch or 3 inch. i will be running 31 inch tires dont have money for new ones just yet.

a 3 inch would be cheaper and still allow the use of 31s. when you go to a 4.5 theres a lot more stuff you have to buy and worry about.

x2 once you get up to 4.5 you have to change the trac bar add longer brake lines, do a pitman arm, control arms etc etc. its more money to run a bigger lift. if you do 3" with 31's for now and want to go with a bigger tire later on you can just cut your fenders to fit a 33" tire with a 3" lift

New leaf pack would be better. I have 3.5 inchs on my DD and used to love it but I like it now. lol The saying is true you always want to go bigger. If you have the money do the 4.5 but for a DD 3 is good. You can always go bigger later. I run my 3.5 with 30x9.5x15 and I want 31s but No money yet. lol

I don't think you have to change all those things. Brake lines yes but besides that I don't think you "have to" have anything else. You can run your stock pitman arm, control arms and track bar. May not be the best way but it does work.

I'm running a 4.5" and the only other thing I had to buy that wasn't in rough country's kit was an adjustable trackbar. Kit comes with lower contorl arms, and brake line relocation brackets. You don't need a drop pitman arm...
