hey guys just to update, the mystery oil worked. the pressure got better. Yall were exactly right about the problem and im very thankful for all your help. i didnt have the time to pull the oil pan but i will in a couple months. I used seafoam, mystery oil, and zmax, changed the 3 week oil and it was very black with small sludge residue. i put sum cheap oil and more additives for 3 days. now im getting synthetic oil put in on monday. so far so good, running decently however i do plan to drop oil pan and clean it when i install my lift

I think you'll probably find that since the motor wasn't running for a day or two, some of the sludge that's in your oil pickup screen probably fell off, giving the pump some access to the oil.

I would definitely do the cheap oil thing more than once. Maybe as many as 3-4 times, until a change after a few days doesn't produce black and sludge. Make sure you change the filter too.

I wouldn't throw in the synthetic until you pull the pan, or you're gonna end up saying "screw it, it's working ok" and forget about doing it.

While you've been given a reprieve, that junk that's still in there isn't doing your motor any good at all.

Best of luck!

lol how right you are about "screw it" xD but ive read synthetic oil actually breaks down the sludge, so its not sludge chunks anymore but either a fluid or sandy pieces. But yes thats what happened, the sludge fell off letting the oil be fed back into the pump. i dont have a very good jack so ima wait till i lift it so itll be easier. the jeep is still at the dealership because some parts were recalled so im getting them replaced however i think i should be good

Glad to hear everything is fine! Just keep tabs on the oil and do a few changes with cheap stuff. It can be expensive, but worth it.
