Spin that **** off of there. They use cheap **** that harms 4.0Ls: They are the absolutely cheapest possible (same as FRAM and STP) and are well known for causing damaging dry starts, which create that noise. The sound is your engine running without oil. Hell, if you took it to a Jiffy Lube, there might not even be the correct amount of oil in there in the first place!

Swing by NAPA and get a NAPA Gold filter (manufactured by WIX), or find yourself a Purolator or Mopar unit.

Also always double check the work at any "quick lube" shop. Make sure the drain plug is in, the filter is on and not leaking, and the oil level is correct before driving off, you'd be surprised how often they screw these up.

Yup, I was home visiting family not long ago and my mother mentioned her oil light had turned on that morning and asked if I'd look at it.

The quick lube she took her car to 5 days before that hadn't bothered to fully tighten the filter down, it was half way off the threads when I found it.

I put a wix filter on there and topped off the oil and she was good to go.

Iffy Lube smashed the oil pressure sender on my MIL's car, it left a trail of oil all the way from their driveway to hers. Not too difficult to figure out where it happened.

Yeah I don't usually go to jiffy lube. It needed an oil change and I was in the middle of moving and working a lot of overtime when I did. Last time for that for sure, next time ill make the time. Ty
