Default 4.0 oil pressure

Hey guys haven't posted on here in a while but I'm back lol, I had put a brand new motor on my 99' Cherokee the body is absolutely perfect so that's why I decided to spend the money and save the old girl well here's the problem at idle when the engine is hot like 205 the oil psi sits at 19-21 psi is that normal or is that low for a new motor ?????

Screw a manual gauge where the oil sender is and see what the actual pressure is.

Ok thanks. Yea I did that to my old motor and it didn't have any oil pressure, but I was just wondering if 20 lbs was normal at idle hot ?

It's been a long time since I looked it up but around 13psi warm is the lowest and still ok. And the stock gauges are CRAP don't trust them for anything. As long as there's no noise your good, oil psi is only a measure of oil flow restriction. High oil psi is not everything...

10psi for every thousand RPM is the rule of thumb.
