There's only one Coolant Temp Sensor, in the block.

The Coolant Temp SENDER is in the head.

Here are the values for your CTS:

Thanks for the update. What was the problem with it?

every time it opened it was making the engine stumble. when you blip the throttle i could see the egr open up.

while the engine was at idle i put a remote vacuum line on it and sucked. the engine would fumble around and then die. i unhooked the vacuum line from it and all seems good.

I have never owned a vehicle with an egr so i not quite sure how they work.

i did over heat the engine the other day when i go stuck in a ditch. it took me about 30 mins of revvin to the moon to get it out and i didnt have an eye on the temp gauge. the temp was pegged past 260. seems the thermostat was stuck.

drove it another 15 miles to work and it shut off. tried to start it and it sounded like the engine was seized up. I let it cool down and it started back up. today i replaced the thermostat and topped off the coolant. looks like its going to be ok.

It shouldn't have opened at those times. I wonder if the EGR solenoid was at fault.
