So I am working on doing a head repair on my 1995 Jeep Cherokee. I replaced rear main seal a few weeks ago hoping what Is blow by was just a leak. So I'm in the process of getting my jeep back up and going. I am going to get head rebuild 3 way valve job. I was going to get it ported and polished but my machine shop will not be able to to that part for me. I am also going to replace the rings and pistons if needed. honing cylinders with block still in jeep. cam/rod bearings are in solid shape so that will not be done at this time. I have never really dug into an engine before so this will defiantly be a learning experience. I have learned a few things about the jeep doing this so that is the + to doing this job myself.
Other parts I am going to replace.
Plugs/Wires/Cap/Button
Heater core coolant hoses
Clutch fan
CCV valves and groments
Several Vacuum hoses
Rebuilt head
Head gasket
Valve cover gasket felpro rubber
Manifold gaskets
Anything else I should replace while doing this job?
