Default 4.0 Engine replacement

well just a little tid bit for yall here, if you are removing and installing your 4.0 I highly recommend removing your crank position sensor before engine is removed and put it back in AFTER the motor is back in and torqued down. Or even better just take out the motor, take off the sensor off the bell housing, throw it away get a new MOPAR sensor and install it after the motor is in. I didn't do any of these things the first time around and when I torqued the motor to the bell housing I pinched and severed one of the wires and I think we bumped the sensor pretty good with the flywheel which can damage the magnet. So when I was all excited and ready to fire up the new one I had no fuel pump! I was so mad I had to call it a night after me and my dad searched the whole motor for a loose ground or plug, thankfully searching the forums older threads lead me straight to the crank sensor as the culprit.

Are you noticing a problem with it already?

no problem, it was more of a joke, you rarely see one that isnt leaking, and i know even when they are fairly new they still leak

Well, wouldn't you?!? Why would you want to dirty something so sparkly by actually putting in?

I work alot in the winter since I'm in the propane business. Now things are lightening up a bit but then my son and daughter-in-law only have one car. Guess what they borrow? My Comanche.....
