Hmmm... I have 33"s on a 3.5" lift... but Im not afraid of the sawzall and a big hammer.

I don't drive my XJ on regular basis so the 3.55's work for me.. But I live in flat old corn country so we dont have many hills... I drive SLOW to begin with, but if I did much highway driving I would have regeared, the Jeep is even slower than I like with 3.55
