what did the 318 come in a dakota? i cant remember if i get 1 ima buy the truck and doo and all cstmdash and all

 

5.2L V8. Dakotas, Durangos, ZJs, some Ram & B1500 series vans.

 

What trans did he use?

I think a 46RH out of a ZJ, not sure actually.

 

i have a 318 dakota in my driveway. it has the 904 tranny with o/d and 231 t-case with an 8.25 rear axle. front is ifs. it goes pretty good, but only has like 190 hp.

if you're gonna go small block dodge, i'd go with a 5.9.

 

Agreed...my old 78 that had the 360 with a four barrell loved it when I cranked it all the way open..318's a good engine but id recomend the 360 alot more then the 318.

 

if you go with a 360 get the old granny gear 4speed with it out of a 3/4 or 1 ton dodge ooh and the dana 60s talk about a rig you'd be bullet proof

I road in a XJ with a SBC and it was scary fast. I'm not a big fan of riding passenger and going fast
