dude, for like 50 bucks more you can get brand new dafinity dakatoa's from pepboys. installed. and thats five of em. and they have full tread life. i have em and i love 'em. althought there not too great in the snow. but springs just around the corner. heres the numbers. the tires are 118.99 a peice. there running a special thats buy 3 get one. so you pay for 4 and get 5. but you do pay for all 5 up front and you get a rebate check. so you can do what i did. buy 4 and when you get your rebate check, buy the 5th.

You're talking about the Dakota MT right? Only $118 for a 31-10.50R15? How much was the install and balance?

You will rub at the current ride level, more than likely.
A quick word on Dakota brand tires: I have personally seen two of thier ATs fail on the trail, and they weren't being abused. Normal "wheeling" terrian that any AT should be able to handle with no troubles. Just wanted to add that, IMHO, they are not a quality tire. The sidewall is literally paper thin!!

yes you will rub at stock ride height. i did. what i did to correct this was: add 2 leafs to the rear, from a JY XJ. i added the main with the eyes cut off and the number two(next longst). i also added 98 5.9L ZJ coils to the front. if you plan on doing this let me give you some pointers. first, PB BLAST EVERYTHING!!!! second, PB BLAST EVERYTHING!!!! thirdly, add a spacer of about 1.25"-2" when you do the front. have shocks ready to swap out because it will save you money when you do your alignment. get 'em put on wheels with backspacing around 4" because the stock wheels i have are 5.25" BS and the tires rub on the LCA's at full tilt turns. there is my $.02.
I run Dakota M/Ts on my 95 f350 for a winter tire. there 285/75/16s and they are amazing in the snow compared to my 315/75/16 dick cepeck mud countrys wich suck in the snow!!! i bought mine from pep boys but i didn't do there buy 3 get one free deal. by the time i brought my truck down to have them mounted and balanced it would have been more expensive in gas. As for strength of this tire... i burn 3 gears of posi with them all the time and they havent shown any wear or even a scratch in them... Wicked good tire for the money!!!!

i was just going off of my experience. i do agree that it is a very good tire. i got out into some ruts and in 2 wheel i got a little slowed but then popped it in 4h and was on my way. and i can climb snow drifts at the mall like its nobodys buisness.
Yeah, if you don't mind trimming a little, they'll fit.
My statement was not regarding traction, it was regarding overall durability. In rocks, they are not a quality tire...period. If you aren't in situations that would require a tough sidewall, you should be fine. I agree with the fact that they are an inexpensive tire, but do you really want to save a few bucks on, quite possibly, the most important part of your vehicle. Don't lose sight of the fact that your tires are the ONLY thing keeping you on the road/trail, and worthy of a considerable amount of your rig budget!! Tires, IMHO, are not an area to look to in order to save money!! Off my soapbox now!!
