3 and 4 miss fire only when warm
Hi there,
I'm a newbee and can't figure out my miss fire problem. Need Help!
I have a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, 6 cyl 4.0 4x4. I replaced the computer about a year ago and everything was fine, then it overheated really bad due to a bad alternator 6 months ago which was replaced and fixed the over heating problem, I DO NOT have mysterious coolant loss. Then it started miss firing on start and would stop after restarting a few times and was totally random. I need to make an out of town trip and have started to replace everything everyone is telling me to but the mechanics are now surprised. I have replaced the coil pack with new boots, both #3 and #4 fuel injectors and new plugs but still having the problem. Here's the kicker! It runs beautifully until it warms up then starts to miss fire! Any ideas? I'm running out of money but I love my jeep and refuse to replace her!
Sincerely

"it overheated really bad due to a bad alternator" ??? That's unusual.
Edited: Oh..the bearing seized...
Is there no spark when it's missing? If there is I might check compression.
