Default 2nd gear acting up

So recently i noticed when shiftting to 2nd i can feel something pushing the shifter (right when i start to push into gear) away if i dont put it in gear really quick. There is NO grinding noise but i can feel something spinning. I have bleed clutch twice nothig has changed. Anything else i should check or any ideas on why this would happen? Does it sound clutch or tran related?

You have the Peugeot trans. 2nd gear was always the troublesome gear IIRC. If it was the clutch, you would have problems going into 1st and Reverse.

Where I live in the mountains of central Arizona, that trans was hard to shift into 2nd in cold weather. The factory told us to tell our customers to skip 2nd and go right to 3rd on cold days until the trans got a bit warmer....

well i bled my brakes the other day and let the clutch resovoir get to low so i bbled the clutch which looked liked it needed it. it was pretty nasty looking. i thought i didnt bleed it well cause all these issuses so i re-bled it and made sure there were no air bubbles coming out. i forgot to mention i didnt notive this befroe i bled the clutch but it 2nd has given me issues before (grinding once every couple of days)
to answer the question of my shifting, its my first standard but i picked it up quick and always push the clutch all the way down.

Edit: I think my clutch is pretty worn though because when i backed out of my house today i let up on the clutch and i could feel the car still having drive and going back. Gotta love new cars lol.

Try this. Pump the clutch pedal about 50 times while sitting in the cab. Walk away and come back in 10 minutes and see if the pedal is firmer.

So i drove around and its again when i go into second I feel something hitting the shifter. It doesnt do it all the time and if i put it into gear real quickly i usually dont feel it (which is what I have been doin) perhaps this is normal for this tranny. When the car is not in motion it goes in just fine. Could it be the synchro thing? I have heard of that going out.
Clutch pedal has plenty of pressure. If it sounds like its the tranny perhaps ill get another and drive this one until it goes out.

Check your trans mount. Is it all oily and sagged?

And yes, that trans is generally thought to be a POS.

Mount looks fine, im not gonna stress over it ill just plan on swapping it eventually and consider it an upgrade.

Edit: I did notice today that when i down shift (or not moving) that 2nd gear always feals normal. Dont know if this helps narrow things down but thought id note it.

Okay if this thread isnt completely dead i have a question. My clutch has lost all pressure twice before once when i bled my brakes and i though somehow my the clutch resovoir was connected to the brake resovoir which after thinking about it i know is not how it is. Lost it again looked at the fluid and saw it was way below the fill line, luckly i was clise to a napa and got some. So today i looked for any sort of leak of fluid throughout my entire clutch line and couldnt find a damn drop anywhere. I checked resovoir hard line, bleeder, everything and could not find any. Any other places i should look?

Up under your dash. Follow the rod from the clutch pedal to where it goes through the firewall into the clutch master.

So i looked where the rod connected looked at where the master cylinder is connected inspected the cap looked all over. Its a little wet but I think thats just from when i poured more brake fluid in. None of the lines are leaking though and i know this has to be a slow leak. Should i just replace thee master and see if that works cause I dont know what else i could try.

Edit: im pretty dang sure now that my master cylinder is the problem here (doubt about 2nd gear) because my truck has gotten stuck in reverse twice to the point where i had to shut the car off. I read on jeep forum that people have had same prob and replacing the master has fixed this.

Probably. But the rule of thumb is if the master is leaking you will see it in the cab. and if the slave is leaking you will see it run out of the bell housing.

Well the bell housing is coverd in dry mud and id notice a stream of clutch fluid so ill try master first.

Edit: i figured out today my slave cylinder is the problem I saw a small puddle of fluid under where the rear main seal is (thought it was oil before) It isnt oil though and would explain where all the fluid is going.
I feel like swapping the trans would be easier. Correct?
Ive helped my buddy replace his in his bmw and wasnt too bad so i think i might try tackle it.
