I have 89 xj and i was thinking about trimming my fenders and putting a 2in lift on it. I was wondering if anyone has a pic of there jeep. I just want an idea what mine might look like before i do it. Thanks.

Wow. That looks good! I just ordered a 2 inch lift and I think I know what I doing after I install it
. I just need to wait around the junkyard for a set of 31s to come in. By buddy picked up a set of 31x10.5s on American Racing Outlaws for $100 and I know I'll get the same deal if a good set comes in. Would 10.5s fit without excessive rubbing and too much tire sticking out past the fender?

That looks really good. How did you lift it. What should i do put coil spacers in the front or coils out of a 8v grand Cherokee and blocks or longer shackles or add another leaf in the back. i was wondering what would be easiest and cheapest and i don't care if it rides rough.

yes,if you can go to a JY (i don't know if theyll let you get leafs) or find some leafs that will fit in your current pack. get a leaf for each spring and find longer coils that will fit. or you can do a body lift with hockey pucks. a hockey puck is an inch in thinkness. so you do the math.

i made 2in coil spacers for the front out of some pipe and plate then bought 2in blocks for the rear from autozone. i think i had about $30 in my lift and it was fine. i recently upgraded to a rustys 3in aal and have more problems than with my homemade. i tried to find the website i originally got the idea from for you but cant seem to find it again. maybe you will have better luck finding it. its out there somewhere haha

There's a reason that nobody makes a body lift for an XJ. There is no real frame, it's a uni-body. Do not do a body lift on your XJ, especially with hockey pucks.
