231 to 242
Are the two different TCs, interchangeable? Guy has a 231, I was wondering if a 242 could replace it. Other than changing the 4x4 indicator, is it a plug and play?
Also, can a 1996 231 replace a 95 231?

In a word maybe. Jeep used 21 and 23 spine inputs in both and they came in 3 different lengths. So basically you have to pull and compare. I THINK Cherokees after 90 or 91 use 23 spline but lengths vary.
