2018 headlight options? AutoPal Headlights are rusting from the inside out.
I installed Putco relay and AutoPal headlights in 2013.
They are now dark looking and rusting on the inside, so maybe poor reflective inner dome.
Is LED a thing now?
I just want simple plug and play replacement using my existing harness upgrade.
Should I just buy a new set of headlight enclosures?
Any new options in 2018?

Any H3 housings with glass lenses are going to have steel reflectors. Once the seal cracks or water gets into them, they will rust. For my money, I'd just go with sealed beam bulbs with off-road wattages, like 65/100 watt units. With the range of lights on the road now, I doubt anybody will check what you've got.

I thought I had an H4 upgrade. Is that similar to H3?
Will the off-road wattage work with my H4 harness/relay upgrade?
I think it is the popular one from a few years back (like Putco)

Lights can be a touchy subject.
Let's start off with your budget and whether or not you're in an area that snow building up on your lights might be a problem.

H2s are single filament bulbs with a pigtail. H3s are single filament bulbs with a spade connector. H4s are dual filament bulbs with 3 spade connections.
Xenon filled halogen bulbs are brighter because the xenon gas glows as well the filament.

I got these off fee-Bay for I think it was under $35 or so w/ free shipping . Aluminum housing and a good length pigtail that plugs and plays to stock harness. They will light up the garage on a sunny day and they are impressive at night (even the dim mode lights the whole neighborhood) give it a look I'm happy with them since they are cheaper than stock and no issues as yet. This place has many other styles also. (tried to upload a pic didn't work so here is a link.)

Just keep one thing in mind with LEDs. They don't produce any heat so snow and ice will stick to them. Some of the better LED headlights have heaters in them. The best ones have heated glass that is temperature controlled to come on only when needed. Ask Duma about his.

Bimmer.. I would just get new housings and call it a day. You already have the harness, bulbs. Nothing to cool on the market unless going LED then a whole new can of worms is opened up... for example, Do you need to pass inspections? then non DOT LED lights might not let you pass. Then are the LED headlights you pick out any good or do they just blind everyone cause they really suck on light focus, so on and so on.
If you do decide on LED spend the money and get good ones.

Thanks for the tips.
Ok, I'll skip LED because snow driving and inspections.
Hella E-Codes seems costly.
I might as well just get the same thing I already have.

Are these the Sylvania sealed beams ?
Does the harness upgrade change the connection to the headlamp bulb?
Or is it the same prong configuration?
Does the harness upgrade work with the old OEM headlights?
