2014 jeep cherokee slams into gear
my 2014 jeep cherokee limited has 5,000 mls is slamming into gear. I took it to the dealership a few weeks ago and they said it was the software!! strange to me
it drove fine for about a week and now its back to the slamming into gear. need advice please!

Congrats on purchase but to be honest don't waste your time here man. Its warranted, get the dealership to fix it. You shouldn't have to go through those issues. If they have to fix it three times then lemon that **** and have them give you a new one. Sorry again you're having issues

The best advise i would say is to take it back to the dealer and have them fix it. If you mess with it to much it may void any warranty.

I never did like the sound of those 9-speeds.
But yeah, make the dealer repair it or replace the whole vehicle. The Lemon law exist for a reason, this would be it. I wouldn't even touch the transmission, just gives them a reason to refuse.
