Ok if there is already a writeup on this PLEASE link me to it. I searched a bunch. I recently got a free d44 from a 2002 Grand Cherokee. So with FREE being the operative word here, is there a way to put it in an xj? I know its a different bolt pattern,so could I just swap axle shafts from a 98? Fab isnt a problem as I have access to pretty much any tool i need. I dont care about the instal issues, just the axle issue and overall strength. I would truss it due to aluminum center section, lock or weld it, and gear it. Any input would be good. Its not a definite thing that im going to instal but if it is a possiblity i want to know the in and outs. Thanks.
