Default 2001 XJ problems

I purchased my first XJ last month. 2001, 155k on the body/trans, and roughly 6k on the rebuilt engine. It has ran great for the last few weeks with no major problems but I noticed something in the past few days that are scaring me a little as well as I have a couple general XJ questions.
Firstly the problem that has me on edge.. When the engine is still somewhat cold (within the first 1/2 miles of driving) I can't get it to accelerate for a few seconds. The RPM's stay around 2k, and it stays running smooth, it just won't accelerate. I always let the jeep warm up before driving. In the morning I'll let it sit for up to 5 minutes and if I've been driving and I'm leaving the store and it's still warm but I haven't been driving then I'll let it idle for a few minutes as well. Does anyone have any clue what this could be? It doesn't feel like the engine is cutting out, and it idles like a dream. I was thinking it could be the transmission at first but I'm still in gear, it just doesn't accelerate.

My general questions for the jeep community... Every Cherokee I've been in squats or moves a little bit when it's shifted from park to reverse or drive. Is there a way to minimize that or get rid of it completely? Lastly, what kind of oil do you guys recommend? The previous owner ran Rotella oil but I haven't found much info on what the best option would be.

Thank you in advanced for your responses

Rotella T6 tractor oil 10w-40. Have you tried adjusting your throttle/kickdown cable ? As for the squating, I'm not sure ? Sometimes mine goes into gear like you're idling to fast, but it's not. Kinda hits hard going from reverse to drive. Doesn't do it all the time ? Every now and then. I'm fixing to figure it out though. I'll keep watching here to see what others say ? Read Salad' oil thread !!!

As far as the "squat" is concerned, I believe that's inherent with rear leaf springs. They tend to "wrap up" as in twist as the axle changes torque direction. With the ZJs, the 4-link coil suspension doesn't allow the axle to torque up. Just my best guess.
