I'm a little stumped on this one. Trying to add cruise to a 2001 XJ, I've previously done it on a 1997 and it was fairly straightforward, can't figure this one out.
I've got a set of the correct switches (AD), and have tested them and they give the correct resistance values depending on which button is pushed. I'm using a known good servo (from the 1997), when I disconnect the vacuum line at the servo I'm getting a loud hiss so I know it's pulling vacuum. Cruise light on dash comes on when gauge check is performed, will not come on with cruise switch. Clockspring is used from a forum member who said it's good, airbag light goes out, horn works. Pulled the brake light switch and it tests correctly as well, even did the lift brake pedal thing and still can't get the cruise light to come on.
Is there a way to test the wiring connector that plugs into the servo? From what I've read there's no fuses for this correct? Anything else to check?
Thanks!

Thanks for the response. Since I've got some time I'm going to swap out the clockspring for a known good one. That's the only thing other than the harness I haven't tested.

That would be my guess. Sometimes those ribbon wires start to tear from one edge before they fail completely and you lose 1 function at first.

Well, swapped a known good one from my sons 97 into my 2001. Now mine works and his doesn't
. Hopefully the seller I bought it from will be understanding.
