Fan shroud, fan clutch, is your electric fan kicking in when it is supposed to? Seems mine on my '00 will at 210 degrees.

The 00-01 have a head known for cracking.

Default Jeep Overheating.

I may changed out my water pump this winter. I have changed out my thermostat and fan sensor. Both are working fine. I have thought about a cracked head but wouldn't it rough a little rough? I thought about a head gasket. I might changed it out with the pump. My fan shroud broke when replacing the radiator. Just the age of it caused it to break in several pieces. Would that make that much difference. Please understand I am not a mechanic. If it was made of wood...I could fix it. I am just learning about the jeeps.

Does it overheat on highway also?
The fan shroud is an important part of the cooling system, if missing there will be insufficient airflow through radiator at slower speeds.
