Default 2001 Electric Fan motor replacement

Hey guys, yesterday getting home I got a smell of burning plastic. Checked around and opened the hood to find smoke coming out of the E-fan. Spun it around and noticed it sticks in certain parts. Jeep has never over heated and thank god it happened either close to home or when I got there. So I looked for an OEM replacement and found one new on eBay and ordered it right away. But now it seems it’s from a Grand Cherokee and looks different. My question is, I see the motor has 3 bolts, is it posible to just swap the motor on these? The plugs are the same and even the fan blades, it’s just the mounts are different. Here’s a pic of it

Surely I'd take it a part and mount it to the XJ assembly.
