2001 cherokee xj - installed pcm, How do you program it to my vin
I installed the pcm, can I please ask for instructions. I haven't turned it on yet, no instructions with pcm, got it at NAPA

When you ordered it from NAPA did they say it was programed and did you have to give them your vin code ? you may need to call NAPA to find out if it is programed .

- Important Information: w/ Automatic Transmission;Vehicle Specific Flash Programming Required On Or Off The Vehicle. Accurate VIN And Mileage Are Required

I may have the right scan tool to do it, but I don't know where the OP is. If they are in northern AZ maybe I can help. That is if the answer about giving the VIN to Napa is a negative when it should have been a positive...

To down load the program you need to get the program from Jeep or a service that has it . I would return the computer and get one that is already programed to your vin . There are places that rebuild computers and program them for you so all you have to do is install it and your done .
