Vehicle: 2001 XJ Sport
Issue: Blinkers are not working but all other lighting (including hazards is)

I first noticed the issue back in January where I would be sitting at a light and my turn signal would suddenly quit even though the switch was still on. I would flip the switch on and off a couple of times and they would come back. Eventually it became progressively worse until they stopped working all together. I have checked all the fuses and relays (the ones within the engine bay and under the dash on the passenger side) but to no avail. Does anyone have any experience with this or know of a solution that I would be able to complete myself?
I drive from North of Baltimore to Downtown DC everyday for work so I feel as though my odds of not getting pulled over along the 170 mile round trip are wearing thin.

Its probably the whole switch mechanism in the steering column. Its round and has a wire harness that goes under the dash. Its a pita but only because of the amount of little things to take off. Pm me for more details
