Yeah.. but no worries I aint no libtard lol. Where are you from? Here it's pretty cold today; -33'C (around -27'F) Jeeps making weird noises at that temp. Gonna check the promo code
CT. Not too cold now but waiting on a storm late tonight. One those starts as snow, turns to rain, then back to snow ones. They are saying with the wind chill that Monday will be -10 to -25 F. Walk in the park for you huh? LOL.
lol that's a myth we dont like winter and we never get used to it!
I think i found something not too bad on rockauto. It comes has a kit https://www.rockauto.com/fr/moreinfo...363384&jsn=391
Tried to see the price for shipping and it says it's too big to be shipped to me LOL
Gonna buy pieces individually... Is the front pipe (the one shaped like a Y) a pain to replace?
I have a question cause your build date is still messing with me. Things don't look or feel right to me. Get the feeling I am missing something. Do you have a Y pipe up front? Are your exhaust manifolds the 2 piece ones or the single one. How come there is no down pipe, what is between the Y pipe and the cat, in the diagram at the link.
I've checked and it seems to be the 2 pieces one. i could see the electric plugs for the sensors... I took a pic, doubt it will help but here it is. Gonna go check more seriously later
See if you do have a Y pipe then I am thinking it is all one pipe to cat. Cause you don't have a flange from the pipe to the front of the cat. See this is what is confusing me. Now why do you want to replace the Y pipe?
OK. That was the shot I was looking for. My guess. Is you have the original y pipe/down pipe (sometimes referred to as the intermediate pipe) combo from the factory.
So again Y (Get it. LOL.) do you want to replace the Y pipe?
Cause if you buy the Walker Y pipe then you will have to buy a down pipe. Even though this is for a build date of 1/20/00 and later this is the only Y pipe I am aware of.
See the flange on the end. So now you need a down pipe with a flange at that end.
This is for a CA Emissions build date 1/20/00 but I think this is what you would use.
Now here is where it gets worse. Notice the flange on the back end? Your cat is slip on at both ends. I have never see a slip down pipe that would have the flange on one end to go on the Y pipe and slip on at the other that goes to the cat.
And it is not like you are going to cut off the flange IMO.
So now that means you have to buy a cat. I guess. Which I am guessing is this one.
I don't know what to tell you. I say just replace the muffler and tell pipe like you were asking about in the beginning.
Problem is if you have to replace the Y pipe any time in the near future I am guessing you are going to have to go the route above.
And guess what won't work anymore even if it is still good.
Your muffler.
I am at a loss here.
Ha! i wish you were my neighbor, we could check it out in real and I would give you some good canuck beer! lol...
So in the end I think i'll get a WALKER 21357 exhaust and the tail pipe WALKER 55188
and some clamps. Hopefully it will slide right in

I am thinking that would be best. Some times when you look up the Y pipe, or in my case the front cat (which is just a Y pipe with 2 cats incorporated in it) you will see where they tell you that you have to buy the down pipe.
Always gave me the impression that something from the factory is different. Also in my travels I think that I have read that both the Y pipe and down pipe are as one from the factory.
Well your Jeep seems to confirm that.
I've had the quiet-flow and it's not as quiet as stock. Not even close IMO. I've bought a couple of them. If you want oem quietness, you might want to get one from a good muffler shop. But they're quieter than any turbo or minimal baffled mufflers. Furthermore, if you buy the stainless steel Walker muffler, they don't last forever. Mine's practically rusted now. It's been on for, oh, 8 years. That's fairly long, but for what it costs, not convinced it was worth it. I'm going to try to get a warranty when it finally does rust through. See how that goes.
The insulator yeah. If you can get away without buying the hanger don't. That thing is not bolted to the uni-body. It is bolted to a nut strip inside the uni-body.
So here is the fun part. If and when you snap one of those bolts to try and get it off you might have to replace the nut strip. And here is the even more fun part. You get to take off your bumper to do so.
So if the hanger is still OK just buy a new muffler clamp to hang the tail pipe and call it a day.
Oh and another thing. The nut strip inside the uni-body is just secured with a pop rivet to hold position. Easily rusts and if so technically not holding the nut strip in position anymore. But the hanger is. I don't think if you removed the hanger that the nut strip can move enough in there to get out of position so that you can't bolt in the new hanger. Or at least get in there with a screwdriver to reposition it but I would hate to find out.
So far rockauto has been the best prices...most of the time the shipping is killer tho. Here we don't have Auto Zones or that type of stores. Much more difficult to find parts
i find the best places are amazon.ca and autopartsway.ca
theres often a coupon for the autopartsway.....they email it out 10x a yr or so
