2000 O2 Sensor removed (4.7 stroker)
So I purchased this XJ a while back and have been slowly repairing all the neglected and worn out parts. The next item on my list to repair is an exhaust leak at the exhaust manifold and at the donut seals on the down pipe. I figured while I was removing the headers this weekend I'd throw in the 2 O2 sensors in an effort to get rid of the CEL. With this Jeep having a stroker kit on it, could adding in the O2 sensors back on be detrimental to how the jeep runs? Also where does the harness for the sensors originate from? Hopefully they didn't cut any wires. Thanks in advance!

The PCM needs those sensors. The upstream sensor lead is part of the injector harness. On my 97, it comes out the same place as the coolant sensor lead. For the downstream, look next to the transmission for any wiring that may have been tied up or tucked away.
