Default 2000 Jeep Cherokee No start

Hey guys, I've got a 2000 Jeep Cherokee that wont start.

Here are the symptoms.

In park, turn the key, Grinding noise.
In Neutral, turn the key, Nothing. All gauges bottom out.

First time this ever happened, its raining heavily.

Any advice?
