Default Gauges drop + airbag light

Alright everyone, this question is about my girls 98 XJ. Long story short ... We are driving down the highway and her airbag light comes on and her tach and mph gauges drop to 0 all at once. Sometimes hitting the top of the dash above the cluster fixes it and it comes back on, but over about a 2 hour drive home it did this probably 4 times. Any direction you can give me?

I've had the same problem in my 98 sport. I believe it is the connections behind the dash. Know problem on these 97+ xj's. Took mine apart and used some dielectric grease and haven't had a problem since.

as in the connection from the dash to the gauge cluster itself?
