Hi, new here and I have a 2000 cherokee sport with a 4.0 engine, I'm trying to figure out what rearend I have, I found some numbers on the diff and they are 9549. I have tried searching for them with know luck, any and all help would be appreciated. I'm thinking it is a 8.25.

8.25 has a flat lipped bottom, and a rubber fill plug,

d35 has around bottom and a screw in style fill plug

 

ive seen 35s with rubber plugs. just look for the lip on the bottom. if it doesnt have it then its a 35

 

see if it here.(it's 8.25 if you dont have abs if you have abs its a d35)

haha i live in the rust belt and i have 7 cherokees not one has a sticker on it i'm lucky if they still have a tag that didn't rot off
