Default 2000 cherokee no start

2000 Jeep Cherokee...No start..Cranks but does not fire..Spark plugs are good..The Jeep was driven the day before next morning would not start...It has fuel pressure...Any ideas?

No codes have shown up on the odometer..Is ther any chanc that the spark plug coil rail have anything to do with it...I have had a misfire on cylinder 3 and havent gotten a chance to fix it yet.

I keep hearing about this crank position sensor that you can test them with an ohmmeter..but not sure on how to do that..

I have seen where there is something that shows up on the odometer that says "NO BUS" but has not shown up..But I only read of that on the later models

What you are seeing with the cylinder 3 misfire may be "heat soak". It is very common on the 2000-2001 4.0 engine and often leaves you with a mysterious misfire on cylinder 3.

Search for information on heat soak.

Thanks homies...Turned out to be the crankshaft position sensor..Gotta love the forum...Thanks everybody hopefully I can return the favor someday
