Default 2000 Cherokee Classic

About 2 months ago i picked up this 2000 Cherokee Classic 4X4, that i found on craigslist for $2400. Black with the 16" gunmetal wheels, 4.0, Auto, 8.25 Chrysler Rear, 117,XXX and runs great. The air conditioning does not work and the roof is peeling pretty bad in random spots like some chemicals spilled on it? But its an easy fix so i didn't care.
I sold my 97 TJ to get this, and am very happy with the change, love being able to use a trunk and having people in my car (being 17 you rarely drive without the car being full)
I don't have any experience with lifts, but am pretty good at wrenching on cars, so i hope i will learn how to make this jeep as bad ***** as some of your are

Not really a build thread... But if it does eventually become one PM me and I will move it back to the Build/project section.

Being 17 and a full-time college student, money is extremely tight, and after i pay for insurance gas and food, all the money goes straight to the jeep First thing i did, was the audio, put in a Panasonic flip-up 7" touchscreen DVD player, that i found on Ebay for an extremely good deal. Next came the Intake, that i also got from Ebay it was cheap, and actually seems to help out the gas mileage a bit. Then came a Curt trailer hitch, so i can steal my dads jet skis! Next came the Roof Rack, a Surco from a fellow cherokeeforum member, that had a set of Hella 500 Series lights on the front, and some cheapie lights on the back. Looks amazing mounted up!

I had some pictures to post but can't find the memory card for the camera so they are coming soon!

I got the 3.5" Rubicon Express superride kit got here about a week ago!
just need some time to put it on
And i just bought a set of BFgoodrich All Terrian TA's 265/75/r16's about 5 minutes ago

anyone else have this kit, and know if its need a SYE?
I plan on getting one in the future, but i was hoping i could make it a few months without one?

Post 97 XJs are more prone to driveline vibes, but no two XJs are exactly alike. Get the lift on and drive it a bit, and you'll know if you need to drop the coin on that SYE or not.

I would get the rust on the roof taken care of ASAP before it rusts through. A leaky roof sucks...................trust me!!!

yeah, thats the plan, my dad manages a Chrysler dealership/bodyshop (hes where i got my knowledge on cars) and the shops going to do the work for me. just gotta wait a couple of weeks till they have time.
in the mean time im going to get a can of por15 and just coat the underside, i plan on keeping the jeep forever and in cleveland the salt kills everything, so i would rather get it coated before the slightest rust comes

Good plan. We get the salt real bad here in Michigan, sometimes I think my jeep is a 50/50 rust to solid metal.
