2000 cherokee
I have a 89 jeep cherokee and I want to drive a better more smooth cherokee so im planning on buying a 2000 cherokee is that a good choice? Any big issues with the 00? Do the 2000 models tent to overheat just like the older versions?

My 2001 has never experienced any overheating problems. As long as you stay up with regularly scheduled maintenance (coolant flush) you should not experience any major problems.

Just FYI, the 2000-2001 I6 heads are more prone to cracking. Those years also have the low pinion Dana 30 in front, opposed to the high pinion up through 1999.

That is the same move I made, and love it. I think it is only some of the heads that are prone to crack. Something with the part # will tell you, I think. In 00 they went to a coil over plug. For me the low pinion works, because I am not going to go big on a lift. And if you do they swap out just fine.
