Default 2 quorts

I heard if your doing a fluid echange on a aw4 trans too refill 4 quarts i drained mine today and it was just under 2 quarts that came out!! My trans seams to up shift around 45 mph and lose all power could this be the problem i put 4 quarts back in must be a leak or something somewhere

I put 3 in and started it went thru all gears and back up to park than checked it. while it was running it went up to the add hole. i put another quart in did the same process and it was alittle above full .i drove around 5 min an checked again right at full but i was 2 and a half quarts low the whole time iv had me jeep about 2 weeks. and iv noticed some funny stuff hope this fixes it what are the symptoms of driving with low fluid? And the fluid was red but in the sun it was like really mucky red

That's because it takes 3.75 quarts on a drain and fill. You'll be fine.
If the fluid continues to get punky, change it again using the same process.

Well it was ruby red on the dip stick i just changed it because thats how i am lol i like to know when my fluids have been changed or not. But its all up to par now i noticed a small leak on the seal coming out of my t case the the back of it right where it hooks up to the drive shaft tiny tho

You do know that the transfer case and trans do not share fluid, right?

Yea i havnt gotten it up to 45 mph to see if i still have the problem next is the TPS thanks for the help
