Default 2 questions

I have a 90 XJ 4.0L with an auto trans. the other day it was revving high then shifting then it stopped for a day or two then all of a sudden it wont come out of first gear. I have read other posts and am thinking it may be my TPS, however my second question is does anyone have all of their vacuum hoses connected correctly mainly around the air box. if so could you take multiple pictures and send them to me. I seem to be missing a hose..i think. also I replaced my air box top (had a hole) and like an idiot didn't mark them. do any of these vacuum hoses effect the shifting or is it just coincidental?

my tps did the samething,it would not shift until it got to 4,500 rpm. The vacuum hose to the air cleaner, the one closest to the firewall goe to the door actuator on the air cleaner up front, the other goes to the vacuum tree.

well i just replaced the TPS and it wasn't that. I really need help here. I went through all of my vacuum lines and they are all hooked up correctly. I dont have much money to put into it. The tranny is smooth in first gear but will not get out of first. fluid level is fine. I guess next step is pulling the pan. if I cant fix it I may have to junk it.

Have you tried to adjust the tps? If it is not adjusted right it can cause the same problem.

I adjusted the tps. I pulled bus type 10amp fuse on the passenger side and I can now shift manually. what is that 10 amp fuse connected to? I put in a new one and it went back to normal only stuck in first. any ideas TCU maybe?
