If you get the zj coils with 180 spring rate and one of their rear leaf springs (150 spring rate) with the AAL (20 spring rate) then you will be 180/170, which is nicely balanced. I am at 180/170. Most other kits out there are 200/220. I was told by the online chat tech dude at Rough country that their springs are 220 (coils) and RE coils are similar. To get the best ride, you gotta consider the spring rates.
yes on the corners of the lower part of the fenders. i am running 3.75 backspaced wheels though and mine is a 2001 so fenders are smaller than the older xj's. i hear 4.0 backspacing and stock wheels don't rub.

I'm planning on throwing a set of wheel spacers on with my moabs when I get her up in the air alittle more. I figure a wider stance and firmer ride will make it even better as a dd.

well i bought my 87 xj and first thing was put 31 on it they filled the fenders up rubb only on bumps and super sharp turns and when i flexed(as much a stock will let you flex)
1"? You should be ok. Aren't stock moabs 5.5" backspacing? If so, spacers would put them out just right.
