you may want to grab a 1" shackle for the rear while youre at it. ive been reading that the hd leafs from qtec will settle to 1" over stock. id play it safe and throw a 1" shackle in the rear at the time of install- may have a bit of a raked look to it, but once it settles, you will be level

x2 on the shackles, it'll help even out the lift alot. And in keeping with the budget plan, check out Rough Country's adjustable shackles, they have two settings at either 1" or 2" of lift, and at $49.95 they are quite affordable.

Oh yeah, and even at only 2" you may want to consider some longer shocks, especially if you wheel it with any frequency. It'll just give it a better ride all together with proper length shocks too..

I dont go often. There are some great trails owned by MEAD paper Company about 20 mins from my house so usually i would go there. This is more of a ride comfort/better than stock but affordable lift I'm going for

I would recommend old man emu. I run their kits on all my jeeps simply cuz it rides the best. I am a ride-quality kind of guy and that means something to me so i take it into consideration when choosing my lifts. You just can't get a better ride than OME. Pricey but ya know what they say, you get what you pay for
OME on stock tires:
Later i added a spacer and OME AAL and put on 31's:
Now I run rusty's front 3" HD coils with coil spacers and rear OME leaf springs with OME AAL and 2" RC Shackles.
Just a heads up, the OME coils are soft. When you start adding weight like bumpers or skids, you will lose some height. They only sell one coil spring for the xj (three for the TJ) but you can get OME ZJ coils which net a bit more lift so i've heard and are stiffer. Also, to get the best out of OME, you need their shocks.

It's worth it to save and get the OME, its worth it even if you have to wait one more month to get it, I'm saying how long are you going to be keeping it? Well?
