Default 2 factory options I'd like to add... how?

Tarkus is complete and running great.

Since I last posted...

3" Zone Off-Road with Iron Rock adjustable LCA's on 31" 10.5 Cooper AT3's
stock 15" Jeep steel rims, plasti-dipped.
swapped D35 for C8.5 rear
all new rear brake lines, breaks, cables... the works
new TC as the old one was shot and not worth rebuilding compared to the price of a good JY unit.
ZJ front bar
Iron Rock adjustable track bar
All Moog steering replacement parts and bearings
All new Spicer u-joints front and back
Bootswork Transfer case shifter - shifts like butter now... best!!
and nine-gazillion other things I emptied my pockets on.. LOL!

Now... for the next projects...

I'd like to install the factory rear speaker setup in the back of the cargo area. I have an SE, so it came with nothing. What do I need to do this? I see someone on eBay is selling a headliner and other guys are selling the speaker boxes... is that all I need? I'll do all the wiring myself, with direct homeruns on thick speaker wire and I'll make my own plus if I need to.

The next is a key fob. I'd like to have a locking fob. What do I need to install one and get it working?

Thanks in advance!

JR

Your reference to a "key fob" ......I assume you mean a keyless entry system.
A recent thread covered that quite good. Check this :

Thanks for helping... that's a nice option for $15. I'm looking into it.

For the speakers in the back it's up to you what you want to do. The 98-01 had the head liner with the speakers made into it for the rear. The easier way is to get a soundbar out of a 97 and down and just add that to the back. It slides into the spots on the trim panels above the rear windows, then theres little feet that come off the rear dome light that hold the center up, but you can do without those if you have to. Should have the wiring already there on the passenger rear side under the trim panels, would just need to add the harness that goes from that to each speaker.

My 97 is an SE and has the sound bar in the back. I think it was added on as an option at the dealer ship from whoever ordered the jeep. My SE came with pretty much every option though besides power doors (thank god its manual I hated all the broken crap on my power doors xjs) and leather/ohc

Heres a picture of my sound bar on my 97se

Nice looking Cherokee, especially for being in the rust belt. I use to live in upstate NY so I know how the rust can be. Your rims are great, really like them. I've got a 2000 so the speaker holes are molded into the head liner but I like the idea of adding a sound bar to have four speakers back there. (:

Those are the base-line 15" rims with the 'Jeep" plastic cap on them.

They look ok when painted with the plasti-dip. you can buy that at any Home Depot, or Lowes for about $4 a can. 1 can is plenty.

I like the speaker bar option. Mine does not have the formed headliner so I'd have to buy that, on top of buying the factory box that underneath it for the speakers.

This looks like a better option.

Thanks!
