2.8 to 4.0 swap?
how hard would the swap from the 2.8 to the 4.0 be? found a jeep to make a beater from but owner says it has a basically new motor, but had a carbeurator fire and melted some things. so what about it? main reason i want THIS one is the trim package....take a look at this

I think 600 is steep for each, I would look around for something a little newer. I saw a clean 96 with a hand grenade 4.0 for 1k last week and it had newer 31s on it.

wood trim, ya I saw that one. Is that the one that had a fire? It would be a sweet project but it looks to have windows broken/open. That musty interior smell sucks, if its been out in the rain.

Oh wait a minute your in Georgia? These two are probably rust free, buy both for 1k he will take it if you show cash. You can probably chop the red one for your money back, or a 4.0 aw4 build in the woody.

The decked out model would be a Cherokee Chief, probably. Top of the line in 84.
They're rare. Doesn't mean it's a pot of gold, but there just ain't any more out there. I'd go slow before I chopped it up too bad.

Forget the 4.0. Way too much work even with free rigs to start with. Instead use the Camaro 3.4L !60 hp with fuel injection and a bolt in. Up the hp with aftermarket parts too

the 3.4 is a bolt in sweet! Too bad the 4.3 isn't a bolt in, cause I had a 4.3 in a gmc safari and it hauled ***** and was a reliable runner. Everyone should do that swap cuz the 2.8 is a clunker.
