Here is what I'm getting into...
I replaced the NSS and am still getting a MIL and the code comes right back on after being reset. No reverse lights, but starts in park and neutral. Sometimes while driving it won't shift into 4th, if I put it in neutral and turn it off and back on it will operate normally for the rest of the drive. If anyone can explain what is causing the condition I would greatly appreciate it. I'm hoping it's a wiring issue, and not a control module problem.

you may just need to adjust the NSS. It may be making contact with the park and neutral circuit but not the other contacts. When I cleaned mine a few years ago it took 3 tries to adjust it correctly. I did it at night so I could see the reverse lights go on and off as I moved it.
