Default 1999 cherokee dies and starts and dies

1999 cherokee that has suddenly developed issues. starts and drives fine but in the last week while driving/running it will die. two occasions at a stop sign. at the second stop it would not re-start. left it over night and it started fine. today driving down the road it died and as i was coasting to pull over it just started up again. then a few minutes later it did it again. obviously fuel or electronics. any ideas?

Crankshaft position sensor is a primary culprit here. VERY common failure on the 4.0

Read up on the crank sensor in this thread.
