Default 1998 radio problems

So I fixed my no sound in my factory head unit by putting in a new amp I got from a 97 Cherokee at the junk yard. Now I tried to put in an after market one and it powers up but I have no sound. I don't get what I'm doing wrong it worked fine in my 97 wrangler. Can someone please help me here. I'm no noob when it comes to installing jeep parts or radios but iv NEVER work on a grand Cherokees radio before any help would be great thank you

Honestly I just took the amp out of my 98 jgcl and replace all the wiring straight to the speakers, I put a 10 in the storage in the side of the rear cargo area, basically built the sub into the side wall, as far as the radio goes make sure you have the amp wire hook up to the correct amp power wire, is either blue and white or solid blue, mine was blue and white, sorta different from other vehicles I've had. If its not getting power you won't get sound, also quatra tech. Come sells the custom made factory to after market wiring harnesses for jgc's, but you may have to replace some wire.
