1998 Jeep cherokee Help
Hi i have a 1998 jeep cherokee sport v6 and i have been having some problems with it. At first the gauges would act really weird they would go down to zero and be unresponsive till they decided to work again. Then i parked it for a while and it wont crank. I can put the vehicle in park and switch the key to on and touch a screw driver to the solenoid and it will crank easy. I can also pull the automatic shifter back from park to right before it goes into reverse and it will crank also. Any Suggestions? Ive heard the neutral safety switch but i dont know. I need help.
THank you

you have a L6 engine. Straight 6 not V6
Anyway.... I would be willing to bet that your problems with your gauges are the contact points that the cluster attaches to on the jeep. you can pull the cluster and sand a little on the connections and see if that works. I cannot remember if there are 2 or 4 connections.
Yea your NSS is probably on its way out.
