this i sprobably a stupid question but i'm doing a motor swap and i've tough myself everything i know by reading forum and going and trying things.. but what my question is.. Do i have to know anything super important for the swap that may not be obvious? Do i have to line anything up on the tranny to the motor i mean obviously the bolts holes, but i mean do i have to have any align or anythign like that.. obviously it slips inside and lines up but i mean to i have to do anything like find a top dead center or something that that.. if anyone knows anything that i deffinatly need to know before i go do this please let me know becuase i'm learning as i go and really don't want to **** anything up because of a stupid mistake. thanks

i'm swapping a 1997 jeep cherokee 4.0 inline into another 1997 cherokee 4.0I

Just do it. Take pics along the way.

Post here if you have questions. These motors are awfully simple.

No TDC, everything should slide together fine. And always ask questions if needed. Someone will answer fairly quickly.

Loosen/remove the upper 2 bell housing bolts FIRST. E-12 socket.
