I have a 2001 Cherokee with a leaking A/C evaporator core. I would like to see what other Jeep owners are doing in regard to this issue. I hear it's fairly common .
I am going to be replacing the evaporator , but certainly do not want to replace it with the same defective part. I have also heard that the evaporator is known to freeze over and break due to the low pressure cycle switch being incompatible with this type of system. It allows the evaporator to get to cold and sweat excessively and freeze the condensate water.
If you have corrected this issue , what did you buy? Where did you go?
Do you know of any recalls or technical service bulletins on this?
