1996 xj questions
Im a new Jeep owner...1996 cherry red xj (more specs and pics to follow)
My questions:
1. Whats the deal with mismatched tires? Is it suicidal to have two sets of different brand tires. same size but different brand? I have a deal to buy 4 new wrangler A/T 235/75/15 for $300 or just get two used tires...
2. valve cover gasket leak: can anyone give me a quick how to fix
3. Best kind of shocks mid price range
I really love looking on this forum and am excited to start wrenching on my XJ.

1. if they are mismatched make sure you don't turn the 4x4 unless you are on extremely loose ground. Different brand tires can wear at different speeds which can cause them to have a different circumference which will wreak havoc on your tcase
2. Take off the valve cover and replace the gasket...
