I am in need of an oem fuel sending module. I have looked everywhere if anyone could hep please. Its the one with the fuel pressure reg on the unit. Thanks -james

 

Hello sodakjeeper, did you ever find your '96 XJ fuel module? I've got the same problem. Seems after mi-year Jeep moved the fuel regulator from the fuel rail to the pump module and I sure haven't been able to find one.

 

Hi every one. I got the same problem.. It seems that the jeep Cherokee 1996 have a different fuel pump assembly to all other cherokee. I have found that Crown Automotive make exacly the part we need, but its Back ordered.... Is there anyone who found another place that can sale us this assembly???

From what I was told, it's going to be 'back ordered' forever. This was a one-year only part and Omix-Ada told me that none of the aftermarket places actually made a replacement, they bought stock from Chrysler. When Chrysler's stock dried up, that was it.

You can get the pump itself as a component, but the regulator is either NOS on some dealer's shelf somewhere or scrapyard.

 

is there other alternative?? can i fit a different model of fuel module inside the tank??? I need a solution...

 

95 assembly needs a return line, 97 top mounts instead of front and I think the regulator is different. I'd try to find the 96 regulator at the scrapyard. .

 

Does your pump go in from top or side of tank ?

forget quadratec, ive ordered there, two weeks ago and they just receive a email from there supplier ( Crown Automotive) ) saying that its back order for 45 to 90 days...

 

Better than discontinued...
