1996 XJ 4.0, shifting kinda slow

1996 XJ 4.0, shifting kinda slow
my 1996 XJ 4.0 auto feels like it is shifting kinda slow, fluid looks great, in fact it looks new, does not have even a hint of a burned smell
I am kinda thinking TPS, I remember one time I swapped in a used TPS and the Jeep would actually slip really bad going from 1st to second
but with this current TPS it feels like the shift is slow, as it not as snappy as it used to be. like it is feeling slow in between shifts, I don't really notice it if I am giving it some decent throttle, but I notice it now that I am trying to save gas.
I don't remember this from my original TPS, I don't think I do any way
